56:100 Quick to Quarrel by Seanan McGuire

Tybalt's friendship with September and his new favor of having her teach his niece about the other part of her heritage has brought September back into the sights of the Haydon and Lettice, the monarchs of the London Fae court, and they mean to make her life difficult for her decisions to marry outside her race and then help the Cait Sidhe as well.  Now Tybalt must fix what he has caused to be broken.

Another lovely little look into Tybalt's character, his relationship with September, and his life centuries before we meet him in San Francisco with October.

26:100 Jealous in Honor by Seanan McGuire

October Daye patreon short story. Cyne, the sister and murderer of Cailin's father who tried to pin it all on her mother Colleen is back in the Kingdom of Londinium.  Tybalt knows what he must do to keep his family and kingdom safe but it will mean playing a part he does not enjoy with unintended consequences and broken hearts to come.

I love Tybalt but this is looking like things are being set up to show us how he ended up in the Bay Area and it doesn't look like it will be a happy journey for him.

2:100 In Deepest Consequence by Seanan McGuire

Cailin needs a teacher and Tybalt will always go to the ends of the Earth and Faerie to do what is best for his niece. In this case, it means handing her over to September Tourqueville and hope that the girl he knew and loved growing up is still wanting to be outside the politics of the Courts and can be trusted to keep Cailin's secret safe.

I always love the Tybalt stories but I keep wishing I could like Cailin more. I get why she's so spoiled but still, it's getting annoying.

84:120 Instruments of Darkness by Seanan McGuire

The year is 1711 and it's been two years since we checked in on Tybalt and his court. It hasn't grown much, which is fine by him, but his niece has still proven incapable of changing her shape to that of a cat which should be her birthright. It is time to get to the bottom of this and fix it once and for all and Tybalt is determined to do just that. Unfortunately, the answer is not the one that he seeks.

I love the Tybalt backstory we've been getting through the Patreon stories and this one may just be my favorite one yet. His caring and compassion are lovely especially when Cailin is trying to figure out why the other half of her family wants nothing to do with her and the hurt that causes her.

102:120 Stage of Fools by Seanan McGuire

Set before October in a time centuries ago, we find Tybalt newly a King of Cats in a court with no subjects as he has chased them off to make sure they avoid the plague that is in London.  Now he's out enjoying the merrymaking when his sister finds him and she is on the run from the nobles of the High Court after being accused of murdering their heir.  The only thing is, she didn't and she has their shared baby as proof.  Now Tybalt must find a way to get the Fae Court to back off his sister and keep her and her baby safe and to do that, he must figure out who would have wished the High Prince dead.

Set after Forbid the Sea (and should have been read before Voice of Lions...whoops), it's another chapter in filling in Tybalt's past which is something I've been thrilled that we are getting.  I think I love Tybalt even more than October so any time I can get more about him, I'm a happy camper.

97:120 Voice of Lions by Seanan McGuire

Tybalt, still known by his old name Rand, is a King of Cats with a court of just two subjects, his sister Colleen and her daughter Cailin.  Now Cailin has been stolen away and he will not let this stand so the two of them travel to the to Summerlands to have her back or die in the attempt.

Ok, I absolutely love Tybalt and have since the first book so I'm loving getting some of his backstory.  This story was no exception and I can only hope that there are many more to come.
